CASuDev works with local communities to protect biodiversity, restore ecosystems and promote sustainable livelihoods.
Created under the law number 90/053 of 19/12/1990, in the Republic of Cameroon, and
bearing the registration number 069/RDA/F34/SAAP, CASuDev is a locally powered
biodiversity conservation and poverty relief association. It is a community-based nonprofit,
nonpolitical and nongovernment organization working to strengthen local community
participation in the conservation of biodiversity and ecosystem functions, through measures
that address the protection and wise use of natural resources. The organization strives to link
the economic livelihoods of poor to the biodiversity and environmental conservation.

Our strategic priorities are as follows:
We prioritize people and relationship first in order to achieve on the ground project objectives later. Therefore, we work with communities and for the communities; we strive to provide answer to the most pressing natural resource management issues in our communities. We advocate for communities participation in environmental conservation, and reject, or discourage activities that change the cultural identity or social structure of local populations and negatively affect the natural environment.
