CASuDev’s main focus is to empower communities to safeguard the biodiversity of the Cameroon’s landscape for terrestrial, marine, wetlands and coastal ecosystems through increase understanding and knowledge of the landscape ecosystems and its services, increase local awareness of its biodiversity, reduce threats, restore degraded environments.
A series of subprograms are to be implemented under this program:
• Environmental and conservation education in School and communities;
• Conservation and protection of terrestrial, wetlands, coastal and marine ecosystems and its biodiversity;
• Ecosystems resilience and climate change;
• Sustainable management, use of natural resources and watershed management;
• Forestry and community forestry;
• Promotion of Access and Benefits Sharing (ABS) from the use of genetic resources and related traditional knowledge.
